Silly Bandz are here! These colourful, shaped silicone bands have caused a massive stir in the US and the craze is now about to hit the UK, just in time for the new school year.

Silly bandz come in packs of 24 and, with ten themes to choose from initially and more to be introduced later in the year, they are brilliant for collecting and trading with friends. The bands can be used as elastic bands or worn around the wrist as a funky fashion accessory. Just a quick one to let you know that we will have a stall at The Norfolk Arms Great Outdoors Family Fair on Sunday 18th July 2010 10am-6pm (free entry!).

The event is being held in aid of PACT (Parents' Association onf Children with Tumours & Leukaemia) and promises to be loads of fun for all ages. We will be offering some 5% discount vouchers, so do come along and pick up a flyer!

There will be a raffle (1st prize £250 Argos Voucher), with tickets on sale from next week at the toyshop for £1 each. The toyshop will also be open on the day for you to browse our full product range.

Our new toy shop is now open at Masson Mills Shopping Village, Matlock Bath, Derbyshire.

Lollipop Toys is located on the Fourth Floor (one floor up from the entrance!) and features our usual range of high quality wooden toys and rocking horses, along with great puppets from the Puppet Company, a fantastic selection of pocket money toys, games and puzzles from Orchard Toys and lots more!

Masson Mills Shopping Village is one of Edinburgh Woollen Mill's wonderful destination sites, set in the stunning location of Richard Arkwright's famous textile mill. With four floors of shopping, along with a lovely cafe overlooking the River Derwent, its definitely worth a trip!

Masson Mill is just a couple of minutes drive along the A6 from Matlock Bath.

Gormiti is a collectible assortment of hero action figures, trading cards and playsets with each character belonging to a tribe linked to an element of nature. The five tribes of Earth, Sea, Air, Forest (the goodies!) and Volcano (the baddies!) each have their own personality, magical powers, individual story and physical size. As well as collecting all the characters there is a strategic game play. Each figure has a unique power value printed under its foot, numbered 1-9, each trading card has its own power strength. The player with the highest combination between figure and card is the winner. There are hundreds of combinations to be had.

Hi! In the run-up to Christmas our shelves are starting to bulge (even more than usual, if that's possible!) with new and exciting toys!

We are pleased to now offer you some lovely wooden toys from Plan Toys, inluding dolls houses and furniture, along with the popular Plan City range.

Also in store are fantastic jigsaws and games from Orchard Toys, which are proving to be very popular with parents and kids alike.

In addition we are explanding our selection for the 8-14 age group with lots more jokes and gags, branded items such as Hotwheels, Top Trumps and High School Musical.

We're continuing to add to our classic retro toys, adding Mr Potato Head, classic metal Slinky Springs and Whoopee Cushions as well as polystyrene gliders!

Summer Toys: First Bikes

First bikes are wooden 'balance' (pedalless) bikes from Branching Out by John Crane.

A great gift for kids aged 3 to 6, First Bikes are especially good for toddlers who are not quite ready for a pedal bike, but no longer need the stability of a trike. Children don't need to 'learn' to ride balance bikes, they will get instant benefit by instinctively sitting on the seat and pushing themselves along. As their balance improves (which it quickly will!), they will naturally start to lift their up off the ground!

First bikes are available in red, blue and pink. All bikes feature pneumatic tyres and adjustable height seats, and the blue model benefits from a handy carry handle.

Things are hotting up at Ringinglow Toys. We have new stock just in, including this range of wonderfully detailed 'Firefighters' pretend play toys from Pintoys. These are beautiful quality wooden toys for ages 3 and above, made in Europe.

The range includes a fantastic portable fire station (above) complete with bunks, lockers, contol desk and firefighters pole! The fire truck comes with movable, extendable ladders and hose. Firefighters are available in sets of four, plus accessories (below). Extra firefighting accessories including cones, barriers, hoses add that extra touch.
